Ryan Jacobson completed graduate studies at Naropa University and the University of Oxford focusing on Buddhist Studies and Oriental Studies. His theses include a nineteenth-century Mahayoga meditation practice and the great accomplishment ceremony (drubchen). In addition to his academic studies, he has held positions as a chant leader (umdze) and ritualist (chopon) for a handful of great accomplishment ceremonies. As a translator for the Khyentse Vision Project and contributor for the Nyingtik Project, he aspires to help openly present the historic and religious aspects of the Tibetan plateau. Being an avid proponent of the hobbit life, an adventurous homebody, he can be found in one of the many European cafes honing his translation skills.
