Terms of Use
Tib Shelf is an online open-access platform for the dissemination of translations produced by a collaborative community of scholars in conjunction with Tib Shelf staff. Tib Shelf translation entries are regularly updated on an as-needed basis. In order to preserve the integrity of Tib Shelf, distribution rights of selected content are limited.
General User Rights. The Board of Directors of Tib Shelf grants each individual user a royalty-free non-exclusive limited license to read, download, make copies, print, search, or link to the full text of each Tib Shelf entry, crawl each entry for indexing (subject to reasonable network usage constraints), and distribute each entry only as permitted below provided that the purpose of the distribution is non-commercial.
Subscribing User Rights. The Board of Directors of Tib Shelf grants each individual user ("Subscribing User") a royalty-free non-exclusive limited license to read, download, make copies, print, search, or link to the full text of each Tib Shelf entry, crawl each entry for indexing (subject to reasonable network usage constraints), and distribute each entry only as permitted below provided that the purpose of the distribution is non-commercial; as well as the non-exclusive license to read, download, make copies, print, adapt and otherwise use, with attribution.
Limited Electronic Distribution Rights
A General or Subscribing User (hereafter, "User") may electronically distribute a Tib Shelf entry to computers and mobile devices that are owned and controlled by the User.
A User may electronically distribute a Tib Shelf entry to others only for private electronic correspondence. This includes communications between the User and an individual, and communications, postings or file-sharing to closed, invitation-only groups of individuals.
A User may electronically distribute a link to a Tib Shelf entry.
Linked Sites. Our Site may contain certain links to third parties' websites ("Linked Sites"). Linked Sites are not controlled, or examined by Tib Shelf in any way and Tib Shelf is not responsible for the content, availability, advertising, products, or other materials of any such Linked Sites, or any additional links contained therein.
It is the User's sole responsibility to comply with the appropriate terms of service of the Linked Sites as well as with any other obligation under intellectual property, defamation, decency, privacy, security, and export laws related to the use of such Linked Sites and any content contained thereon. In no event shall Tib Shelf be liable, directly or indirectly, to anyone for any loss or damage arising from or occasioned by the creation or use of the Linked Sites or the information or material accessed through these Linked Sites. You should direct any concerns relating to such third party site to that site's administrator or webmaster. Tib Shelf reserves the exclusive right, at its sole discretion, to add, change, decline, or remove, without notice, any feature or link to any Linked Sites from Our Site.
Intellectual Property Rights. Translated materials are the property of Tib Shelf and/or its contributing authors. Metadata used to categorize data discoverability internally and externally is licensed using CC0 (Creative Commons Open License) that permits full reuse on external platforms, including use on Linked Open Data applications. Images used on The Tib Shelf that are offered by permission of the owner are protected by copyright and may be covered by other restrictions as well. Images used from open source repositories are credited to their host institution. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that reuse of an image from The Tib Shelf has appropriate permissions.
In order to comply with regulations that vary across the world, we may revise these Terms of Use at any time and without notice by posting a revised version on this website. Checking back periodically will mean you are aware of any changes. You are bound by any such revisions and it is recommended to visit this page to review the current Terms and Conditions.

By creating a member account with Tib Shelf, you accept the following Terms and Conditions of Use, and agree to comply with them:
· Storage of personal information: If you sign up for a user account, Tib Shelf stores your username, personal name(s), your email address, any saved Tib Shelf content to your user profile. Tib Shelf does not store data other than that which is needed for active membership benefits.
· Storage of your email address: Storage of your email address enables communications, password reset instructions, and logging in to your personal account. We will not share this address with anyone or use it to send out unsolicited information on a regular basis without your consent.
· Storage of saved Tib Shelf content: Storage of saved Tib Shelf content enables users to benefit from the growing features of the member portal.
